What is Escape the Room Challenge?
Escape the Room Challenge is an interactive game designed for you to participate in a real-life escape setting. When you enter one of our themed rooms, you choose to be locked inside for an hour while you uncover clues and puzzles that will help you to escape Each room is designed for a maximum number of people. You can come alone, with a friend, or book the entire block of players for a room. You will be briefed by a staff member that will review the rules and explain the goals. Then you will be locked in the room. You have one hour to solve all the puzzles and escape the room. Note that the challenges in the rooms are difficult and less than 30% of the groups are able to escape.
Am I really going to be locked in a room?
Yes, you will really be locked in a room for an hour OR until you solve the puzzle. You will be monitored at all times by our staff, so if you need assistance or would like to leave, we will be there to assist you.
Can children participate?
Yes! There is nothing inappropriate in any of our rooms; however, younger children may have trouble solving the clues. We have had multi-generational families book an entire room with children under 10 years old who have done very well. Anyone under 14 years old should have an adult present (the adult should remain in the facility but does not have to play). Remember…unless you buy all the spots in a show, other participants may be playing in the room.
Are the rooms scary?
No, not at all. The challenges are designed to be fun and entertaining as you work to escape. Remember- everything is part of the game.
How do I get to Escape The Room Challenge?
We are located at 7391 Squire Court, West Chester, Ohio 45069. Off I-75 Exit 22 (Tylersville Road). Go East, turn right on Kingsgate, right onto Squire. We are located next door to EnterTRAINment Junction.
How much does it cost?
Escape the Room Challenge is unique experience and is normally $28 for individual players. Group rates (for renting all the slots in the room) will vary. See FAQ Can I book a room just for my group?
Do I need any special prior puzzle solving experience?
Nope! Just be willing to search for hidden clues and related items… and to use your brain! If you are really struggling, hidden forces may offer you a clue and get you moving in the right direction.
How long does each game last?
You’ll have one hour to escape the room. After that hour, if you don’t succeed, we’ll go through an explanation of how to solve all the puzzles inside the room. Plan on spending a total of 90 minutes with us from start to finish. You should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Once a group is locked in a room you will NOT be allowed to enter. We do not offer any refunds on reserved tickets.
Do I need to have a certain number of people in my group?
Each room has a limited number of people that can participate. If you purchase fewer than the total amount of tickets, you will be in a group with others (which can make your escape challenge more fun!)
Can I book a room just for my group?
If you would like to book a room for your group only, you must purchase the entire block of particpants for a room. For example, if you want your own group to experience Esmeralda’s Curse, you must purchase all ten participants for a specific time. You do not need 10 participants, but will need to pay the 10 person price. There is a discount online when you purchase an entire block of participants which you can do yourself. How do I book a room?
You must reserve an experience online by booking a specific day and time that will accommodate your group. It is important to schedule experiences in advance to ensure your group can be in the same challenge. If you do not book your experience online, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to participate in a challenge.
I want to bring one more friend to the game but there is no ticket available. Do you sell tickets at the door or can we just fit an extra person in our group?
Sorry. No. We have set the capacities for each room for the players’ benefit in order to achieve the best experience for everyone.
Can I walk-in to participate in a challenge that night?
Because we schedule our challenges online, we cannot guarantee that anyone walking in without a prior reservation will be able to participate in a challenge. We highly recommend that you book your experience before coming to our location.
I can't come when I thought! What can I do?
If you cannot make the time you booked, changing your reservation is easy. At the bottom of your confirmation email should be box labeled “View/change booking”. Clicking on that link will take you into your reservation where you can make changes to the date/time/ etc. We do not offer any refunds on reserved tickets.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring your printed registration form to ease the check-in process. We do not allow food or drinks within the room.
How early should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Once a group is locked in a room you will NOT be allowed to enter. We do not offer any refunds on reserved tickets.
Any tips for escaping the room?
Yes. The surest way to escape is through communicating with everyone else in the room. Share the clues you find. Problem-solve together. Look! Touch! Explore! Clues can be anywhere, but nothing is designed that you would need to break it, tear it, or force it. Work as a team to think through new information.
What’s the prize for escaping?
