Logic VS Intelligence
Logic VS Intelligence, Which will help you escape?
We have seen a lot of different types of people try to escape. Which poses the question; in order to escape, do you need logic or intelligence? I have seen actual rocket scientists and brain surgeons (or were they rocket surgeons?) actually fail to escape. Yet a group of Girl Scouts can escape with lots of time left.
The short answer is both, but you don’t need as much intelligence as you need logic. The more escape rooms you play, the more logical and intelligent you will become. In my opinion, escape rooms are 75% logic and about 25% intelligence. This means that you don’t have to be a genius to win an escape room.
Many people will come into Escape the Room Challenge the first time and say “I’m too stupid to play this”. Most people who think they aren’t smart enough to escape actually end up being quite successful, and are be surprised how well they did. A lot of players who are super smart or the “Sheldon Coopers” do very poorly. They tend to over think things and focus on a single element instead of exploring and looking at everything. The “Sheldons” also usually try to be the hero and solve it on their own. Sometimes they won’t share information with the rest of the group. It takes teamwork to be able to escape.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t think you are smart enough or if you are too smart. Stop by Escape The Room Challenge in West Chester and test your logic skills and your intelligence. Let’s see which wins.
